Base vs Halo Effect Rollup, the homepage card that reports on revenue mix earned across Base and Halo effects, was not available as an export at the daily level, but now it is!

Here is a screenshot of the new export. To access this export, simply click the Export Report button.

After nearly 3 years, our engineering team redesigned and reimplemented an improved data pipeline system to better serve Prescient’s customers.

What did we do?

  • Redesigned the data ETL that pulls e-commerce and marketing data from the platforms and into our data warehouse, leveraging a DBT-based approach.
  • Implemented more efficient data transformations and storage logic for a more reliable platform.
  • Standardized the way that our engineers develop and build testing frameworks for data quality assurance.

How does this help the customer?

  • Increased data quality means fewer data related bugs on our platform, and faster bug resolutions when they do arise.
  • Less technical debt, which means more engineering time to build the features you need.
  • Faster development cycles, getting those features you need more quickly and consistently.
  • Faster ETLs and model delivery for you earlier risers who want to check the latest data on Prescient first thing in the morning.

The bottom line: You probably won’t notice a change on the platform, but this work largely improves the way we work, as engineers — and happy engineers simply build better products!

Related, the data science team introduced a small model change to how top of funnel spend is modeled and visualized for some campaign types. This gives a more accurate picture of how these campaigns take their rightful place in our halo effect modeling feature. Most clients will not see any changes here. Clients that may see changes in their modeling data will be notified directly.

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance and streamline our onboarding experience for users, we now have a new stepper tour that will introduce each individual homepage report and give the user context into it's value and how to use it. All new members of orgs (admins or viewers) will have the opportunity to see the new tour.

Here at Prescient, we are focused on ensuring our clients have the best possible experience with our platform, and with that we have introduced a new step by step flow to help onboarding clients connect their data sources. This has been a big friction point in our onboarding flow, and we are proud to release a beautifully designed and easy to use end to end experience for our users.

Our new Homepage feature has received a ton of great feedback from our users, and we are excited to announce that we have built CSV Exports for each of the homepage reports. Our users have been asking us for a way to bring the granular data into excel so that they can manipulate it for their own analysis and reporting needs. To use this new feature, simply click the "Export Report" button on the upper right hand corner of any of the homepage cards: KPIs, Trends, or Base vs Halo Rollup.

Users asked us to make the Optimizer template more simple to use, so we answered that demand with three changes to the configuration:

  • Scenario Basis has been updated to a more streamlined and simple Fixed Budget
  • Budget Selector has been updated to be easier to use and seamlessly between budget increases or decreases from a No Change scenario
  • Search Bar has been added to the configuration page and the outcome page so that users can easily find campaigns they wish to include in the optimization

Additionally, we released a new default view for all Prescient users: 'Has MMM Revenue.' This new view is now available via the View dropdown on your Performance page.

This view simply excludes campaigns where MMM Revenue is less than $0, meaning that it will have no effect on the Channels or Tactics views unless there are Channels/Tactics with revenue less than $0. The goal is to provide you with a view that shows only campaigns with sufficient historical spend data to be fed into your models.
