Rolling out

Notifications is rolling out to brands gradually. If you don't see the bell in your top bar yet, it's on its way.

Notifications keeps you up to date on what's happening with your brand in Prescient. You'll see when a plan is ready, when a connection needs attention, when your models change, and what's new in the product.

Where to find them

  • The bell in the top bar previews your latest notifications. A badge shows how many are unread.
  • The Notifications page has the full history. Open it from View all notifications at the bottom of the bell.

Notifications are per brand. If you work across several brands, each one has its own feed, and reading one brand's notifications doesn't mark another brand's as read.

What you'll be notified about

Data & modeling issues

Issues aren't a stream of separate alerts. Each issue is one notification that changes as it gets fixed. It starts as Open, switches to Resolved when it's fixed, and moves back to the top of your feed so you see the fix.

NotificationWhen it appearsWhen it resolves
A connection needs attention (e.g. "Meta Ads needs attention")Data stops flowing from one of your connections. The message says why, e.g. an expired login you need to reconnect, removed credentials, or a sync problem. The connection is reconnected and data is flowing again, or the connection is paused or removed.
A metric was flagged (e.g. "Revenue (Shopify) was flagged as off")You flag a number during Data QA. The notification follows it as Prescient investigates, and tells you when it's ready for you to review. The flag is resolved, accepted or withdrawn.
A model didn't finish updatingA scheduled update of one of your models didn't complete. Your results keep showing the last successful update in the meantime. The model's next update completes and your results are current.

Click an issue to go straight to where you can act on it: Data Center for connections and Data QA, Model Center for models.

Plans

NotificationWhen it appears
Plan "…" is readyA Media Forecaster or Budget Planner plan on your brand has finished building.
Plan "…" couldn't be completedA plan hit an error while building. Open it to see what happened and try again.
Plan "…" has endedA plan's date window has closed. Open it to compare what happened with what was planned.

Private plans stay private. Notifications about a private plan are shown only to the person who created it.

Models & channels

These appear once your brand is live on Prescient. Changes made while you're still onboarding don't trigger them.

NotificationWhen it appears
Your … model was updatedPrescient released an improved version of one of your models. Your results now use it.
New model: …A new model is available for your brand in Model Center.
… is connectedA new channel was connected. Prescient reviews the new data and lets you know when it's part of your models. Several channels connected on the same day are grouped into one notification.

Team

NotificationWhen it appears
… was added to the teamSomeone joined your brand in Prescient. Only your brand's admins see these.

Product updates

Prescient's regular release notes: what's new, what's improved and what's fixed. The bell shows a one-line summary. Click it to read the full update.

Reading and filtering

  • Unread notifications have a dot and a bold title. Opening the bell or the Notifications page marks what you've seen as read. Mark all as read clears everything.
  • On the Notifications page, open issues are pinned at the top until they're resolved. The rest are grouped by day, newest first.
  • Use the tabs at the top of the page (All, Data & modeling issues, Plans, Product updates, Models & channels, Team) to focus on one kind. A tab only appears when there's something in it.

FAQ

Will I get these by email?
Not yet. Notifications are in-app only. The existing emails, such as alerts about a broken connection, keep arriving as before.

Why don't I see notifications about my teammates' plans?
Plan notifications go to the whole team, except for private plans, which only their creator is notified about.

I fixed a connection. Why did its notification jump back to the top?
That's the Resolved update. The same notification moves to the top so you can see the issue is closed.
