Prerequisites

To connect Reddit Ads to Fivetran, you need:

• An active Reddit Ads account
• To grant Fivetran the following permissions:
  • adsread - Read advertising data through your account.
  • identity - Access your Reddit username and signup date.
• To safelist both your user and advertiser accounts to access the Reddit Ads API. If you have not safelisted both accounts, you will see the following message in the setup test: This account is not allowed to use the API. If that occurs, contact Reddit Ads Support.

In order to safelist your account it is recommended to reach out to your account representative from Reddit. You can use the following email template:

Hi [Account Rep Name],

We are currently working on onboarding an MMM partner Prescient.

To include Reddit in our model we need to sync it with their system using Fivetran, but we are getting a 401 error when trying to do so.

Our customer success manager from Prescient (cc'ed) suggested reaching out to you so you can safelist our account for integration. Please note, Fivetran is the approved vendor for the data.

Setup Instructions

1. Click Authorize to authorize Reddit to log in through OAuth.
   1. We recommend logging in while in Incognito mode to ensure authorization of the correct account.
2. Select the appropriate Sync Mode. If you select Sync Specific Accounts, choose the specific accounts you want to sync.
3. Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync data from your Reddit Ads account.
